The US DOHaD Society is pleased to recognize outstanding contributions to the field of DOHaD research and advancement of the Society through merit-based awards. Nominations are solicited annually, and award presentation occurs at the annual meeting of the US DOHaD Society each year. Congratulations to all awardees!
Leadership Recognition Award
Description: The Leadership Recognition Award was established in 2022 to recognize an individual who has championed the US DOHaD society through support and engagement with the Society. This award aims to highlight individuals whose contributions have been pivotal in sustaining the Society and ensuring its continued success, often through service on the leadership council.
Criteria & Eligibility: The prize is awarded annually to an individual who has championed the US DOHaD Society. Nominees can include but are not limited to past leadership council members, researchers, funding/government agency staff, administrative staff, etc. Nominations are submitted by current leadership council members and voted on within the council. Current council members are not eligible to be nominated. Individuals who have received this award are not eligible for future nominations for ten years.

US DOHaD Scientist Award
Description: The US DOHaD Society Scientist Award was established in 2024 to recognize a scientist who has performed exceptional DOHaD research in the United States. The award aims to highlight formative, groundbreaking, or pioneering research contributions to the field.
Criteria & Eligibility: The prize is awarded annually to one scientist performing research in the field of DOHaD. Nominees are not required to hold active membership in the US DOHaD Society, although it is encouraged. Nominees can be from any career stage. Individuals who have received this award are not eligible for future nominations for ten years.
2024 Awardee will be announced at the US DOHaD Annual Meeting in October. Nominations will open again in 2025.
US DOHaD Team Science Award
Description: The US DOHaD Society Team Science Award was established in 2024 to recognize a scientific team who has come together to perform exceptional DOHaD research in the United States. The award aims to highlight formative, groundbreaking, or pioneering research contributions to the field.
Criteria & Eligibility: The prize is awarded annually to one team performing research in the field of DOHaD. Team members are not required to hold active membership in the US DOHaD Society, although it is encouraged. Teams who receive this award are not eligible for future nominations for five years.
2024 Awardee will be announced at the US DOHaD Annual Meeting in October. Nominations will open again in 2025.
Trainee Awards
Trainee awards are given to excellent oral and poster presentations at the Annual Meeting presented by graduate students, post-doctoral fellows, and early career investigators that are Trainee Members of the US DOHaD Society. These awards highlight promising scientists as they advance with innovative projects and ideas in the field.
